Dying with honour
Booth did cause some controversy during his time as an MEP, when sent a letter to the president of the European Parliament asking not to have his name mentioned as serving Europe, with the intention be that he died with honour. UKIP were supposed to be fighting to remove Britain from the Europena parliament at the time and the move was attacked by those against the European Parliament as an example of the amount of free time MEPs had on their hands.
